Rules for Students

  1. Every student should wear proper school uniform, school identity card every day and carry the school diary while coming to school.
  2. Students are expected to reach school 10 minutes before the morning assembly. The school gates will open at 7:30 a.m., no student will be allowed entry before this time. After 8:05 a.m. the gate will be closed.
  3. It is mandatory for students to bring books and notebooks according to their timetable, required stationery and lunch box and water bpttle.
  4. If a student forgets to bring lunch box, parents may bring the Luch box with a name tag and submit it to the school office. They will not be allowed to go to the class.
  5. The student should not bring polybags, plastic bottles, sharp objects like blades, knives, deos, perfumes, match boxes etc. (Parents to please ensure this and regularly check the bags of their wards)
  6. It is essential for the student to be regular to school. As per CBSE rules it is essential for a student to have at least 75% attendance for the academic year to be able to appear for the final examination.
  7. In case of absence from school, parents must inform the school by sending an application, with medical certificate (as per situation). A fitness certificate is to be submitted when joining the school. According to the rules, if a student is absent for one month, without information, his/her name will be struck off and he/she will have to take readmission.
  8. No retest will be allowed for Periodic Assessment / Terminal Assessment that has been missed. Hence, kindly arrange family celebrations/engagements according to the school calendar given in the school diary. Children, if sick, are not required to write the PA/Unit Test. Parents need to submit a medical certificate.
  9. No student should leave the school premises during school hours without the permission of the HOS/Co-Ordinator’s / Headmistress. Violation of this rule will lead to suspension.
  10. It is the duty of the parents to immediately inform the school, in writing, if there is any change in their contact numbers, address, mode of transport.
  11. The parents should remain alert about SMS sent from the school/notes sent by a teacher in the school diary and also check the school website regularly.
  12. If the student has a medical problem, it should be brought to the notice of the school authorities. Immunise your ward as per schedule given below:

13. Students recovering from infectious diseases such as chicken pox, cholera, measles and mumps must observe the prescribed period of ‘quarantine’ before returning to school. A fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner is essential.

DISEASE QUARANTINE PERIOD

a) Measles       one week from the onset of rash (7 – 10 Days)

b) Chicken pox            until scabs disappear

c) Mumps          two days after disappearance of the swelling of salivary glands

d) Typhoid                  one week after normalization of temperature.

14. Do not send the student to school if suffering from a contagious disease such as viral fever, conjunctivitis, dermatitis, scabies etc. Students suffering from chronic diseases such as asthma, epilepsy, rheumatic heart disease or any other such illness should submit medical reports to the school.

15. Parents/Students should not make personal calls or send text message to the teachers and Coordinators. For any query, they may send a mail to the school e-mail address general@laxmanpublicschool.com.

16. No student should report to the medical room without a written permission from class teacher/subject teacher.

17. The school reserves the right to rusticate a student whose conduct / behaviour is found harmful to others. Strict disciplinary action will be taken by the disciplinary committee of the school if a student indulges in any of the following:

  • Carrying of mobile phones (without permission)
  • Misbehaviour towards teachers or any other employee of the school           
  • Disobeying lawful orders of the HoS / teachers
  • Intentional disturbance in classes
  • Bullying and rude behaviour
  • Eve teasing / misbehaviour
  • Indulging in any kind of immoral act
  • Smoking/ chewing of gutkha/paan/khaini/vaping etc.
  • Use of drugs or intoxicants
  • Any form of gambling
  • Bursting crackers
  • Theft/pilferage of school/students’ property
  • Disfiguring or otherwise damaging any school property
  • Use of violence in any form
  • Disruption of classes
  • Association with banned organisations
  • Visiting canteen during study hours other than break
  • Habitual late coming
  • Any other undesirable and unacceptable conduct
