Laxman Public School has a well-established House System which consists of six Houses namely – Aradhana, Bhakti, Chetna, Dharma, Ekta and Gyan. All the co-curricular activities and literary activities are carried out on the basis of this system. The Inter House functions mark the highlight of competitive spirit of teachers and students every year. The six Houses stand for different values and ethics which are imbibed by one and all in the school.
ARADHANA
It signifies worship in its most sublime and purest form. The greatest offering one can make to a cause, to a deity or to one’s gurus or our motherland. That is Aradhana.
BHAKTI
Bhakti is one of the noblest qualities that a human being can nurture. It signifies service, worship, dedication and intense love for gurus, parents and our motherland.
CHETNA
Chetna is symbolic for consciousness and super consciousness. That which encapsulates a moment in eternity and an eternity in a moment, that consciousness is the greatest achievement of an individual’s life. That is Chetna.
DHARMA
The Valmiki Ramayan describes Dharma as follows: Dharma is supreme in the world. Dharma is the inherent carrier of Truth. Dharma brings you prosperity. Dharma brings you bliss and eternal joy. It is the basis of all accomplishments for man. It is the quintessence of life.
EKTA
The message of Ekta is to bring equanimity in our thoughts, feeling, karma and temperament. The Atharvaveda describes Ekta as follows: Those who nurse prejudices against others, they never follow Dharma. They never experience bliss, victory and peace evades them. Therefore, Ekta is of utmost importance.
GYAN
Knowledge of self is the key to understanding the universe. It makes you humble like a tree laden with fruits. Gyan liberates you from the mundane affairs of the world. Ved Vyasa in Mahabharata says – There is nothing in this world more purifying and ennobling than Gyan.
